I’m Nadeesha. I’ve worn many hats over the years, but lately I work at Stripe as an engineering manager. I’ve also had the good fortune of working as a Principal Engineer at Atlassian, on one of the world’s largest CI/CD pipelines, and as a Staff Engineer at Zendesk, building early AI/ML products before the LLM era.
I’ve also held CTO, co-founder, and technical leadership roles at companies ranging from small startups to large organizations, including startups I’ve co-founded. The latest was Inferable.ai, which went on to find a home at a larger company.
I’m interested in distributed systems, developer tools, applied AI, and how humans and machines build these systems within complex adaptive feedback loops.
In a previous life, I built and sold my own durable execution system, in the spirit of Temporal. I’ve worked on PostgreSQL scaling, tuning, and performance, scaled large Apache Kafka clusters, and built tooling around abstract syntax trees, including ts-prune.
I also tend to read old books and write speculative fiction.
